Matrix-Q Thinking suggests a complex as well natural skill for thinking and doing out of the box, which integrates other forms of thinking, or thinking skills including for example: nature inspired, nonary, holistic, synergetic, systemic, emotional, holographic and fractalic thinking.

INTRODUCTION TO MATRIX-Q THINKING & DOING

 

In the quick sylver collection of publications of PTƟ Primordial Mathematics the author describe several times how the number of cyphers utilized (each cypher represent a class of human, natural or artificial phenomena) challenge human perception and capacity of application of the ability of thinking and doing out of the box [Matrix-Q Thinking].

In the Matrix-Q Thinking meet up online, scheduled once per month, by the Matrix-Q Research Institute, presentations and discussion in a variety of thinking forms, methods or practices take place, including : matrix, parallel, nature inspired, holistic, systemic, synergetic thinking, on top of the review of the modern approach of education and leadership thinking methods: critical thinking and creative thinking.

Parallel thinking was elaborated, described by Mr. de Bono several years ago. A publication on the 6 hats, became very popular. But parallel thinking isnt Matrix-Q thinking yet.

Matrix-Quotient of Intelligence signs the individual or collective ability to solve challenges by approaching them from several perspectives simultaneously.

The shadows that are projections or ideas, alternatives of what could be, the object of study, described by the allegory of the cave, do represent possibilities.

The Allegory of the Cave, or Plato’s Cave, was presented by the Greek philosopher Plato in his work Republic (514a–520a).

But Matrix-Q thinking is not studying possibilities, but the objective subjective conscious and subconscious reality of an object of study, represented by the three classes of phenomena, natural, artificial and human, involved.

As any phenomena the human consciousness study is in one way or another interrelated with the three classes of phenomena.

THE 9 LEVELS OF IMPACT

In complex living systems, the reality of the knowledge of the system needs to be approached from several perspectives simultaneously. Systemic thinking show us that the challenge may be different when observed from a different perspective or reference point from the system.

The researcher has in another of his publications described the 9 levels of impact.

The following system is one of those utilized by holistic strategic management consultancy, as an assessment tools. The 9+ levels of impact suggests that the same challenge will be experienced by an user in a different role, in 9+ different ways.

How each of the 17 goals can be understood and taken as a challenge, a goal for sustainable development from the following 9 perspectives or roles?

A leader from each of the 9 different roles would learn on each of the 17 SDGs  through  a different learning process, questions, needs, as each goal challenge each role, or level of impact, in a different way.

Then in this case, the global sustainable development and the emerging global culture and civilization, which are being developed through the foundation created by the process of achievement of the SDGs globally, is for the purpose of this example the object of study, the field of knowledge being approached by our consciousness.

Through systemic thinking, we would be able to producing 9 kinds of learning processes, approaches materials, that would create 9 levels of understanding, strategic management, leadership, for the SDG.

For example what a householder can do within the field of impact own family, in order to implement SDG5, or SDG11, which is different from what a city manager (or city hall) or city government will need to do (level of impact 5).

In this case, if we refer one more time to the image above, we will have 9 shadows, as the “beam of light of our consciousness, approaches the object of study from 9 perspectives”.

Systemic thinking help us to approach a system from several perspectives.

MATRIX-THINKING

But complex living systems operate now from one single perspective at the time.

For example the immune system in human being. Consider that each organ stability (performance, health status) as on unique perspective or reference point from the human living system, on top of that you may also consider that for example the blood system, breathing system, digestive system, lymphatic system, stability (health status) are relevant for the complex living system of one single human individual.

Unidimensional health approach, or lineal thinking, would for example identify an unbalance in the liver, ( the standard method of diagnose says that if some already studied symptoms appear indicate the organ is not functioning right ) then a therapy will be prescribed to help the organ go back to the right approach.

{ in medicine studies of viruses for example, it has been discovered, according to case,  that not all individuals that carry a virus may get sick, but any case may transfer the virus as their agent, to other individuals. It means that even there are indicators used for diagnose that sign an individual is sick and has a particular virus, the symptoms related to those indicators will not be noticed in some individuals that have a “healthy” status, but sill carry the virus}

Modern medicine has become aware that the unidimensional approach may be in all cases not ideal, if for example the doses of a particular substance described as for a therapy, has a secondary effect in other organs and create a second level of unbalances.

The capacity of an individual to stand antibiotics for example indicates if the antibiotics based therapy for a particular sickness would create a co-lateral damage or not.

In this case, of the human living system, it is necessary to study the whole and from the perspective of each organ, tissue or system in the human individual, conditions that are present when is in a healthy status and how the health indicators change when any of the organs, tissues, systems are not performing with effectiveness.

In this case, Matrix-Thinking is necessary as all perspectives of the complex living system are interconnected. What ever happen with one of them will impact the other.

For Matrix-Q Thinking, systemic thinking is important milestone in the development of Matrix-Q thinking as after systemic thinking has been developed as a skill, matrix-hinking is more simple to be developed.

Another example would be an ecosystem complex living system. If in a forest in a valley a unique species of ants live, and maybe is the only location where that species lives. And one day there is a high rain intensity and a flood, or the river deviates its course and reaches the ants nest. To stop the river for the purpose of saving the ants, will create an impact in all other species living in that particular ecosystem. The question necessary is how long the fishes for example would be able to live if the water is stopped completely ? If the banks of the river are to high, would the new born wolves be able to reach the water ? How many days need to be stopped or deviated the water and or how less water need to be in order to save the ants without harming other species of plants, animals, insects and others ? And what happened if rains continues ?

The human intervention in a complex living system in a crisis may create more damage than the crisis itself, for example.

In a bigger scale, the collective death  of coral reefs, complete eco-systems, as result of sea temperature rise, sea level rise and pH changes from ocean acidification, all associated with greenhouse gas emissions.

At a global scale, planetary matrix-thinking is necessary in order to care for life of all species in the planet.

MATRIX-Q  HOLISTIC THINKING

As for example in the case of holistic medicine or holistic farming or holistic strategic management has evolved from the need of considering all aspects of the systems studied in order to make decisions. As described in the cases above. A Matrix type of thinking is more effective and responsible, yet highly more complex in the stage of assessment and also implementation of a solution.

An “not responsible” solution could be for example in the case above, to stop the river, and save the ants. A solution that can be even used in media to convince not informed community that the ants, unique species that live in that particular valley has been saved. An action that could be praised by media and common social agreement, but without awareness of other levels of systemic impact.

Intervention in complex living systems with  a low level of destructive impact are not simple the design, and need of multidisciplinary knowledge.

For example, when gender equality programs empower women in tribes or communities that by centuries have another cultural approach, costumes, perceptions and emotions, behavior related to roles of man and women, the results may be highly destructive for the stability and well being of a family, as if the intervention only focus on empowering woman, the conflict the process may induce in the family core, may create unhappiness and dramatic changes in the wife-husband mother-son dynamics affecting the sustainability of their family relationships. In some cases male may endure change as for  the reason that gender equality programs may be also part of economy change of conditions for householders, which is priority for both mother and father, fact that may become a high motivation for them to take some changes that both may not prefer at all.

But an holistic approach may focus not only on the idea of equal opportunities and possibilities for both male and female to take care of the household, but as well to help both male and woman to include each other talents and skills, into the leadership process, decision making and enhance the effectivity or the management of the household through co-creativity. An holistic approach that consider not only the issue (woman empowerment : unidimensional approach) but of family and community stability and development (multi dimensional approach, matrix systemic thinking, holistic thinking). MATRIX-Q SYNERGETIC THINKING

Which is exactly what takes place in a complex living system, naturally. When all species and the individuals in each of them, focus on living, the end result is synergy. The life of the collective complex living system and its dynamics, of mathematical perfection.

Synergetic thinking has been applied for example in creative processes in arts, (creative thinking) and with ideas like “chaos and synergy work always together”

But this is not true from the perspective of Matrix-Q thinking.

In the case of a complex living system each individual has focus concentration in survival, not in chaos or doing what ever it pleases “them, me” or want. Survival defines a strict frame of reference and a shared common intention, which is the one that actually creates the synergetic process.

In the case of corporate management, mission statement would be that common aim capable of conducing synergetic forces into action and cocreativity.

The Matrix-Q Tool for team building and strategic management utilizes the principle of synergy from an holistic point of view. In complex living system, each individual becomes an arrow, an influence on the system, under the common aim of survival. For PTƟ Holistic Strategic Management ternary thinking is he very basic baby step. Nonary thinking is the next important milestone.

The 9 spheres of holistic strategic management, the 9 cyphers or classes of natural, artificial and human phenomena, the 9-Gon geometric system (PTƟ Primordial Mathematics) offer us the possibility of expanding holistic and synergetic, systemic, creative thinking to 9 fields or arrows for thought, emotions, process, areas of study and knowledge and decision making, action.

Holographic-Fractalic thinking means that each step of the algorithm implemented, will consider all and each of other aspects of it as a whole. The image of the whole is always present but as well the principles.
