  • Ancient cultures nature inspired knowledge and technology
  • Effectiveness in human history
  • Martial arts, yoga, performing arts, meditation: How ancient cultures utilized them in order to enhance effectiveness.
  • Modern culture burnout tendencies in business, family, community and culture
  • Strategic holistic management of the human factor
  • The 9 Spheres of Holistic Strategic Management

Along my journeys, my studies on archaeological sites, cultural customs, and artistic self-expression, brought me to a series of ideas, scientific research documents, and information provided by first hand representatives or researchers on these locations or fields of studies, that would suggest me the myth of a Primordial Culture in the ancient Eurasia does refer to a real series of events, people, knowledge, technology, language and culture.

NATURE INSPIRED ANCIENT CIVILIZATIONS AND CULTURES

One of the common ideas that define a culture is that of a set, community of individuals, that share a geo location, time location, costumes, and language.

In general, their cultural expressions are records of their efforts for building up a culture which is stable and resilient and transfer their knowledge to future generations. For example, we know that designs in crafts, pottery and textiles, were associated to music, dances and martial arts or body awareness arts, similar to those known by our modern culture as yoga, meditation, martial arts or performing arts.

Why is this information, and the ability to read these traces of ancient culture relevant for our time?

While the knowledge on human factor, human stages of development, human potential may vary, increase or enhanced along time, the human blue print itself is the same or is the result of the same history of unfolding events and changes, evolution. Ancient cultures and modern culture cares for the same human species, which is the object of study and essential part of government and culture development.

By knowing the deeds, knowledge and technology of our past we can advance, enhance that one of our future and present.

EFFECTIVENESS

For the series of cultures i have visited, from ancient traces of them to the modern western expressions of a culture, my focus has been on how their nature inspired know how and technology helped them become more effective.

Effectiveness for governance practices, organization, management, leadership, team collaboration and self-management have been essential for modern governments, commercial organizations (corporate), revolutions (red revolutions) and world mastery intents (1WW, 2WW, Napoleon), emerging empires (Rome, Greece, Alexander), and ancient kingdoms, lineages and clans (China, India, Japan, Slavic Countries, Arabic clans, Middle age Kingdoms).

In all of these cases, self-management, the management of the human potential, the human factors, for purpose of enhancing effectiveness has been essential for their success. Discipline, capacity of self-organization, decision making, assessment, made a difference in the game of war, power, knowledge and management played by any leadership circle. The art of war did vary from culture to culture, leader to leader. Nowadays, Master Sun Zu followers still study and apply its rules, operational guidelines and assessment instructions, for the game of war.

Where a strength is found as well weakness. Where threat is found, also opportunity. What did make a difference was the human factor, the human potential.

WHEN THE HUMAN FACTOR IS OUT OF THE EFFECTIVENESS EQUATION

In our modern times ICT techno culture agree that error is human, and not a nature of A.I. or a programmed software, application or engine. But if would be possible to somehow program the human side of the techno culture equation in order to ensure a more effective technology-user interaction results, then should be worth the try.

On the other side, along last 50 years, after 2WW, ideas and methods utilized for enhancement of corporate CXOs communication and collaboration have passed from a several generations of tools, models, methods, including math stats, futurist predictions, systemic analysis, and financial assessment of decisions made and their impact for the organization.

One of the suggestions i am giving is to take the human factor out of the equation, in order to enhance process, by applying nature inspired operational guidelines and models for process management and principles for decision making.

Still, for any of the cases described above, including those for defense, cyber security, and in general security and safety, the human factor is key, essential for success.

Technology, know how, academic education, information, professional experience are essential, but if the human factor is not aligned to the mission statement, purpose of the organization, project or business (nation, community or city), then technology, information and knowledge will not be enough.

Effectiveness is directly related to the human factor.

Through the development of PTƟ Know How i have arrived to the conclusion that the decision to collaborate with nature, by study, understanding and application of operational principles based on nature laws, cycles, rhythms, and knowledge of the human potential (human stages of development, human factor) is essential for success, enhancement of effectiveness.

MODERN CULTURE CHALLENGES

One of the main challenges i have faced, for the implementation of pragmatic tools, trainings for the human factor, that complete the powerful potential of the PTƟ Know How Tools for holistic strategic management, is the fact of set of the challenges that our modern global culture faces, and the emerging global culture and civilization is about to face. Within the SDG defined by the UN, the human factor needs to be understood and approached, in particular SDG11 in relation to the following:

  • Increase of burnout, physiotherapy, psychotherapy, coaching needs (stress at work)
  • Increase of rate of divorces (over 50%), and single parenting (emotions and relationship stress)
  • Increase of conflict generated out of clash between cultures (multicultural cities stress, community stress).
  • Increase of frustration, lack of activity (participation in community, engagement), ability to choose own life path, achievement of happiness, in young generations. (life path stress)
  • Population moving to the cities (SDG11 Sustainable Cities and Communities, UN) a predicted increase of challenging (stress on) quality of living and sustainable living conditions for communities and cities.
  • Increase of the need of complex leadership skills necessary for achieving goals within a context generated by the issues listed above.

The impact of these issues in the 9 fields leadership needs to manage the development of culture, i will predict, as serious.

RISK MANAGEMENT

There are 9+ fields, according to  PTƟ Know How in which a leader must take responsibility and do assessment of risk and impact of any decision made:

  • 0. Natural human blue print.
  • 1. Individual Identity, Personal Development, Self-Knowledge, Self-Management
  • 2. Binomial Communication, Collaboration, Co-creation
  • 3. Team collaboration, Leadership, Process Awareness, Family,
  • 4. Organizational Development, Community Development
  • 5. Location, Culture, Network Sustainable Development.
  • 6. Inter-locations Collaboration, Travel & Corridor of Projects Management
  • 7. Multi-location, Multi-culture, Multi-disciplinary, Matrix-Management
  • 8. Global Sustainable Development
  • 9. Global culture and global civilization advancement
  • 9+.

For each of these fields, the human factor, the skills and abilities of the individuals involved, is essential for success, achievement, effectiveness.

In ancient china, a clan was dedicated to care for the safety and security of the imperial family. The clan Chen, will develop a unique secret set of skills, a system of martial arts, dedicated to this service. The qualified trainers and students, guards of the imperial family, will have also a sign of great skills, resilience and capacity of decision making.

For purpose of military practices, a martial art is essential. Master Sun Zu will reflect on this topic along his teachings on the art of war. Carlo Magno will experience the importance of perception, emotions and inspiration, for the challenges he will decide to undertake and for the crew he decided to lead in his adventures. Julio Cesar will find discipline and training, observation of rules, structure and guidelines, as the most powerful foundation that will defeat its enemies, for example the training received by an imperial centurion, will be essential pillar for the military force and governance of the Rome Empire. In the 2WW hitler inspirational message will capture the attention and belief of his troops, in the same way that in the crusades belief was utilized to move religions and cultures against each other. A military martial law, utilized by the Inka empire, with the three rules of no steal, no lies and no kill, will become the most powerful control and oppressive tool, useful for the governance and expansion of an empire. The practice of Ashtanga yoga, for the vedic (india) military force. The martial arts discipline of the Japanese. Are only few examples on how important is the foundation the human factor has, when a great challenge must be undertaken.

MARTIAL ARTS, YOGA, MEDITATION, ARTS OR SPORTS ?

While sports enhances focus, concentration, strength, endurance; martial arts as well enhances  (brain gym), emotional self-management, intelligence; yoga, meditation; would enhance the ability of management of stress, and enhance the ability of the immune system for self-repairing  in some cases and in other the ability of the immune system to stand impacts or threats that may damage is stability (preventive health). As well performing arts will enhance sensibility, ability of communication and management of emotions, perception, creativity, self-expression and imagination.

Within all of these benefits, the idea of martial arts applied for modern times, in which the needs of peace and harmony is so high seems to be contradictory.

Yet, the essential principles of martial arts, and the art of war, have as main purpose a preventive practice. How to avoid war, or if there must be war, how to win a war with the minimum damage of our culture, community or clan quality of living, capacity of wealth generation, sustainable living ?

In our modern times our challenges may vary, according to individual, government or organizational choice, from those that are related to a level of risk nr 1, or 2 (individual life), to those of an organization (level 3, 4, 5) or those of a nation and culture (6,7) or those of global impact (8,9).

What kind of challenge would you like to take? Do you have the tools, training, foundation to take that matrix of complex challenges through your personal development, profession, entrepreneurial skills, management, engagement ?

Along the trainings provided in the Netherlands 2017 on “the 9 Primordial Principles of Health happiness and joy” a leisure training program which involves a new system of body-emotions-mind awareness and fitness training, in 9 stages the attendees to these training have explored on the benefits of the upgraded martial arts, yoga and meditation system i have developed, as pillar for the management of the human factor, human potential, essential element of the PTƟ Know How.

The following is for example the technical description of a KATA, in martial arts a series of movements designed with an specific purpose. For Prime Do, Primordial Performing arts, Primordial Breathing, Prime Yoga (The PTƟ Know How based martial arts, artistic practices, meditation and yoga practices) the image above may be as well utilized.

The cyphers describe an algorithm designed to solve a particular issue or enhance a particular type of skill. Issues as those described in this presentation, that our modern culture needs to address, have been already approached by  PTƟ Know How through Matrix-Q Algorithms and implemented in trainings, games , strategy and coaching process.

The 9 Spheres of Holistic Strategic Management

The first 3 spheres or pillars of holistic strategic management should focus on

  1. Abilities of survival
  2. Organic development, culture generation
  3. Advanced culture and civilization development capacity (wealth generation, quality of living, technology, sustainable living)

For the three of them, the human factor, being PTƟ Know How an humanist alternative for the development of a global culture and civilization, is essential. There for PTƟ Know How for Holistic Strategic Management offers three levels of services:

  1. Self-Management
  2. Project Management
  3. Strategic Management, leadership, process management

With the integral training program for self-management, essential principles that will be applied, utilized by our PTƟ Know How project management, strategic management and leadership tools, will be facilitated to the students of our training programs.

The human factor, the human capital, increases its value, when its skills, abilities, help the team, organization, community, city or nation, into achieving its aims, goals, by enhancing effectiveness.

By considering the PTƟ Know How knowledge for human potential, human stages of development, a gradual process of 9 levels of training, expertise if provided to our students at a training program designed for leaders (CXOs).

My wish is that the foundation of PTƟ Know How, in terms of self-management, through our trainings on the 9 Primordial Principles of Health happiness and joy” and its 9 steps, stages of development, will soon be accessible to more attendees and there for, support the ability of organizations and cities, to enhance their effectiveness.
